Dan has been in public accounting since graduating from Calvin College in 1980. Dan became a Certified Public Accountant in 1982 and a Certified Financial Planner in 1990.
Dan’s experience began with a local firm, which eventually merged with and became, Dieterman, Linden, Manske & Strassburger, PC. In 1989, that firm merged with Plante & Moran, where Dan became an Associate in the Tax Department and earned his financial services certification. In 1993, Dan left to form his own firm. Beginning in 1995, the firm operated as a partnership until 2007 when Dan became the founding member of DeHoek & Company, PLLC.
Dan’s expertise includes tax, accounting and financial services for small businesses, professional firms and individuals. In addition, Dan has extensive experience as an expert witness in Circuit and District court, primarily in the areas of business valuation and damage assessments. In the financial services area, Dan has successfully completed both the Series 7 and 66 exams.
Dan’s community involvement includes being past President of the Grand Rapids Junior Chamber of Commerce (“Jaycees”), co-chairman of the Grand Rapids Charity Golf Classic and Campaign manager for judicial and local political campaigns. |
